Campaign Proposal
My team developed a campaign proposal for The Walt Disney Company, centered on raising awareness about children’s mental health. Alarming statistics highlight a rise in childhood depression and anxiety, underlining the urgency for open conversations (APA). Our campaign targets the younger generation (those under 18), emphasizing early mental health education and support.
Our main goal is to use Disney’s beloved characters, from Frozen’s icons to Toy Story’s favorites, to normalize mental health discussions and break down stigmas. These relatable characters create an immediate connection, making conversations engaging and impactful.
With its extensive presence in TV, films, and theme parks, Disney is uniquely positioned to communicate these important messages.
A significant part of my contribution in this campiagn proposal is the Snapchat magazine deliverable for youths, capitalizing on the platform’s popularity among the ages of 3 to 17 (Digital Information World). This interactive magazine offers exclusive activities, character stories addressing mental health, and daily character storytimes, reinforcing the campaign’s message.
Furthermore, our campaign includes two additional deliverables: a TikTok account showcasing ASMR content from classic Disney scenes, promoting relaxation, and live-streamed short films on Disney’s network that feature characters such as Spiderman and Cinderella overcoming challenges.
In essence, our Disney campaign aims to boost children’s mental health awareness by using Disney’s characters and innovative platforms. Our goal is to integrate mental health discussions into children’s lives, fostering understanding and empowerment.
My Role and Contributions:I created the Snapchat magazine deliverable and played a significant role in designing the presentation visuals.
